This duplex house was initially designed for a
young working couple at the rear of their
existing property.
The land was large enough to be subdivided &
split in two with perfect front & rear
street access to become an ideal investment
property.
The design was accepted by the owners via a
visual 3D computer model which helped
clarify & understand the layout
better.
The plan was to occupy the home themselves &
rent or sell the original home in front.
With tight council restrictions & guidelines
we sucessfully achieved a simple yet modern
design that is distinct & comfortable
internally with an open plan
living/din/kitchen area.
New bathrooms, laundry & joinery detail was
carefully selected by the owners / builders
in a style that has been kept in character
with the design.
The home blends in with the neighbourhood
streetscape & with use of modern materials
also dominates its surroundings.
The outcome of this project was successful
due to our close working relationship with
the clients who are pleased with our efforts
in delivering a plan that was in harmony
with their ideas & objectives.
The end product was exactly what they wanted
in terms of design & living standards.
The owners were enthusiastic from design to
construction and extremely
delighted with the end result.
